Joe Bass Team Trail Pomme De Terre - Stockton division news
The Joe Bass Team Trail Pomme De Terre – Stockton division ended on June 22, 2008 with the final tournament being held on Stockton Lake. The point championship wasn’t decided until the final event was completed. Just five points separated the top four positions.
Congratulations to Brandon Rummel and Jesse Tate for winning the points championship and also having the most weight for the year. The pair made it very interesting by winning the final event and taking the points lead.
My partner Butch Barnett and myself competed in all six events and were very impressed by the way Bob Capps operated this team trail division. I have competed in several other team trail circuits over the past 15 years and none compare to the professional manner in which the Joe Bass Team Trail is conducted. Bob and his staff have made this a first class operation.

Pro-Staff Members Aaron and Alton Hunter win again. The father and son team competed in the Bass World Sports tournament the day after winning the Joe Bass Team Trail tournament. They were able to continue with the pattern they discovered during the Joe Bass Team Trail and won the event with three legal bass. One of their keeper fish was over seven pounds. Aaron and Alton caught three bass over six pounds from the same bush during the two days.
Both caught all of their bass on a All-Terrain Tackle Brush Guard Rock Jig. The found the larger bass staging in preparation for the spawn and holding tight to cover. Aaron says the Brush Guard Rock Jig is the best jig he has ever used. He told the crowd "the wide football head doesn't get stuck in the rocks and the textured head design really helps me feel the bottom."
